    An agent updating records one at a time wrote a picklist value that did not exist. Live stages blanked.

    Validate output before it touches a record

    Allow-listed enumerations, range-checked scores, capped arrays, and a server-validated bulk write. Anything that fails validation is dropped rather than stored, with a validation rule as the backstop.

  3. The incident

    An agent was dead for three weeks. A model name had been baked into a serialized object at deploy time, and no alert existed to say it had stopped.

    Silence is not success

    One sanctioned deploy path, because the other mints a new instance nothing points at. Then a heartbeat and an alert, built before they are needed rather than after.

05Salesforce Mobile

Half the people who use your org will never sit down

Field techs, drivers, installers and counters. They work on a phone, in a van, on a site with two bars of signal, and they are the users most likely to abandon an org that was designed on a 27-inch monitor.

  • Mobile-safe flows: screens that fit a thumb, and no component that only renders on desktop.
  • Offline behaviour, including what happens to a record edited twice while the van had no signal.
  • Sign-in and MFA on a device that is shared between three shifts.
  • Adoption for people who do not read email, which is where most mobile rollouts actually fail.

Four steps. The third one is the one that matters, because the assessment is what awards the credential.

    Buy a course or a path, or take a seat your employer assigned you. You enrol into a course version, so an author adding a lesson next month does not move you mid-course.

    Video, reading, labs and quizzes, alongside any SCORM package we or your own team authored. Progress is counted server-side, per lesson, and recounted rather than incremented.

  3. Sit the assessment

    Server-scored, with the answer key never leaving the server. A mock exam mirrors the real format and reports per section against the published weightings, so a weak score arrives with the lessons that fix it.

  4. Earn the certificate

    The passing assessment issues the credential. Finishing the lessons does not, and a completion flag reported by a SCORM package never does, because a browser asserts that and any learner can change it.

A lab opens the flow itself, fault path included. Not a diagram of a flow drawn for a slide, and not a screenshot of one that works. The one that broke, and the path that was added so a user saw the real error instead of a blank screen.
