What a ShareCo certificate means
It says a named person sat a server-scored assessment and passed it. It does not say Salesforce assessed them. Both halves are on the certificate.

Eight elements, numbered on the document
- The issuerShareCo Academy issued this. The mark is ours and the certificate never carries a Salesforce badge in the issuer position.
- The holderSnapshotted at issuance. If the holder later changes their name in the Academy, this document does not change. A credential that rewrites itself is not a record.
- The exact titleThe full credential name, plus the path it came from. Not an abbreviation, because an abbreviation is what gets stretched on a profile.
- The credential codeFrom a confusable-free alphabet with no I, L, O, U, 0 or 1, grouped so it can be read down a phone. It is the whole verification URL.
- The date and the renewal dateIssue date, and the date the credential stops saying the holder is current. Salesforce credentials need maintenance, so ours do too.
- Hours and curriculum versionHow much material, and which version of it. Curriculum changes, so a credential that does not name its version is not checkable two years later.
- How it was assessedThe question count, the time limit, the pass mark and the score. This is the line that says the assessment awarded the certificate, not time spent in a player.
- The Salesforce Certified lockup, and the disclaimer beside itThe lockup states that ShareCo holds a Salesforce credential. The line beneath states that this document is not one. They sit together on purpose.

How anyone checks it
No account, no login, no email address collected. A hiring manager should not have to sign up to check a claim.

Take the code off the certificate
Sixteen characters in four groups. It is printed on the PDF and it is the link the holder can send you.

shareco.ca/verify/ plus the code. Paste the code into the form below and it takes you there.
- 03Three states
Read the state first
Valid, expired or revoked, stated before anything else. A revoked credential shows its reason and its date rather than disappearing.
- 04The useful part
Read what it actually means
Hours, curriculum version and how it was assessed. That is the part that tells you what the person can do.
The document hash
The PDF is rendered once at issuance and the bytes are stored. Their SHA-256 hash is printed on the verification page. Regenerating the PDF later would change the bytes, so we never do it: a font upgrade would silently alter a document already sitting on a professional profile.

A ShareCo certificate is not a Salesforce certification.
Salesforce issues Salesforce certifications. We issue a record that a named person passed our assessment on our curriculum. It is worth more for being honest about its scope, and worth nothing at all the first time someone finds it overstated.

The official exam for each credential
Sitting the ShareCo assessment is preparation. Sitting the official exam is the credential an employer already recognises.
