Course SC-220 · Curriculum 2026.1

Safe Data Operations in Production Salesforce with AI Agents

Change production data with an AI agent and be able to put it back. You will back up before every write, run every script as a dry run first, dedupe and reconcile Northshore Envelope Co. order lines, and leave a change log that says how to reverse each change and until when.

Written for: Salesforce administrators and developers who run updates, imports, deletes or cleanups against production data, alone or with an AI agent such as Claude Code.

01What you will learn

6 capabilities, stated as things you can do

Each one is what you should be able to do at the end, not what the course covers. If an outcome is not testable, it is not an outcome.

  1. Back up every record a write will touch to a dated, restorable file before any update, upsert, delete or import against a non-scratch org.
  2. Design a data script that defaults to a dry run, prints the exact plan, and writes only when --live is passed.
  3. Execute a bulk dedupe with a rollback path recorded in Change_Log__c and rehearsed inside its reversibility window.
  4. Reconcile order lines against invoices and classify each line as imported, linked, reconciled or posted.
  5. Report reconciliation discrepancies by state, with counts that say what they include and what they exclude.
  6. Classify test data in a production org by evidence, and remove it under the same backup and dry-run rules as any other write.

What the lessons look like

Figures from this course, and screens from the lesson player. One lesson is free to try with an account. The rest open when you buy, because the graded labs are the course.

The lesson player

  • The lesson player showing a module overview: the outcome it serves, the graded lab and check it contains, and its lessons with their lengths.

A module opens with what you will be able to do, what you will build, and how long each lesson takes. From SC-101.

  • The lesson player on a graded screen task: a Salesforce Setup page for a fictional practice org, with the instruction to click the field that shows the org is a Developer Edition.

One step per screen. Here a graded task asks you to find the right field on a Setup page. The practice org is fictional. From SC-101.

Figures from the lessons

  • A backup CSV with Id, Name, External_Id__c and the changed Unit_Price__c for 3 order lines, a header JSON with org id, alias, query, count, time and ticket, the file name pattern, and the row-count check.

    What a backup holds

  • Five-step flow for a production write: scope with a count, back up to a dated CSV, log a Planned Change_Log__c row, dry run and compare counts, then run live and verify.

No write without a way back

  • Seed and back up 12 lines, dedupe 3 re-sent lines and the test line, reconcile the 4 Fernhill Mews survivors against the 5,985.30 Posted invoice, hold Saltmarsh Landing on its quantity conflict, then report.

The Northshore capstone, end to end
