Inventory and stock control

01Why this exists

The gap

Inventory and ERP is the smallest category on the marketplace at 122 apps, around two percent of listings, and the category leader has sixty reviews. A five-thousand-dollar-a-month app and a hundred-and-twenty-dollar-per-user app both sit at zero reviews. There is no ERP presence on AgentExchange at all. Nothing exists between a spreadsheet and a six-figure implementation.

Benchmarked against

A comparable listing runs $120 per user per month and has zero reviews. Another runs $5,000 a month and also has zero reviews.

02How it works

The mechanism, not the feature list

These are the decisions that make it work, and the reasons behind them. A feature list tells you what a demo will show. This tells you what happens on the day something goes wrong.

  • Stock levels, bins and movements as first-class records, with running balances maintained under proper locking rather than recalculated on read.
  • Parts consumption joins to work order line items, so a job costs what it actually consumed.
  • Reorder rules evaluate on a schedule and raise a task, so a stockout is a decision someone declined rather than a surprise.
  • Barcode scanning in the mobile app, because a warehouse process that requires a laptop does not get followed.
  • Cycle counts with a mandatory reason on every adjustment. An unexplained stock correction is how a discrepancy becomes permanent.

An unexplained stock correction is how a discrepancy becomes permanent, so the field is mandatory rather than encouraged.

03Pricing

What it costs

Published rather than hidden behind a form. A buyer comparing options reads a hidden price as an expensive one.

  • Stock users$45 / user / month
  • Read-only$15 / user / monthFor sales visibility
  • Floor$500 / org / month

Prices are list. Nothing here is listed on AgentExchange yet, so today this is bought as an engagement rather than installed from a marketplace link.
